'The wounds we inflict upon our this Earth reverberate throughout and the repercussions return to haunt us....'

Read the article by Sir Julian Rose - 'Financial Collapse and the Reversion to the Local' here - on why the present financial crisis can be of great benefit to the environment and the way we live.....

We would like to welcome Alex Langlands, archaeologist, who is joining Sir Julian Rose as a Patron for Bees Action Network.

In the recent BBC TV production The Victorian Farm, Alex kept bees, as was common on Victorian farms.  He brings this invaluable experience of how bees were kept before the advent of modern chemicals.  He says

'I don't believe in some romantic view of the past....and certainly don't prescribe a reversion to the hardships of rural England in the 19th century.  But I do believe we can learn an enormous amount from our ancestors about how better to care for our world in the future....'
